Red apple you are the
best apple ever.
So juicy best fruit
I will eat you everyday and
My favorite color is red
You are o good but you do have
too many worms inside yourself
Like if you were made out
of worms.
But still you are still
so good. I will et you with
worms inside of you. Even the
worms are good.

Perla L.

just like it. But he makes good
drinks.

The both yellow and green aliens
are at war. Some people use you to
make sours, others to trick and others
to put on
fruits.

People sometime deceive
you. People sometimes enjoy
you very much. Some people
ask you is you want

Poems of smallness and silence

After reading D.H. Lawrence's two poems "Nothing to Lose" and "The White Horse" students tried to imagine what could be inside very small things and what the sound of very quiet places could be and then wrote poems of any length or style.

3rd Grade Room 105

.
Hollow Underworld

I find a dead cell
in the hollow part of
the underworld. I open it
and find a fat guy with
his own personal one-of-a-kind
gravity.

Guadalupe M.

My happy place is heaven
I heard birds tweeting
An ant on my hand
An ant walking
on my toys
it is fun to watch
and so funny.
Then I see my mom
and we play ball.
Then we say bye
and I go home
and see my dad
and my new mom.

Tyler G.

I have
a crumb

inside
the crumb

of a delicious

cookie taste

Jocelyn G.

On the inside, wrapped up in a bow just for you,
there is a you my dear. I love you
piece of dirt just the way you are,
with a worm.
The quietest place
is a closet
and an echo.
You can turn
on the light
if you look
up and maybe
you can see
heaven. A bird
flying down
with flowers
wrapped up in a
bow just for
you my dear.
I love you
because you just the way you are
the most beautiful thing in the world.

slapped the elephant
