Poems of smallness and silence
3rd Grade Room 105
Jorge B.
Hollow Underworld
I find a dead cell
in the hollow part of
the underworld. I open it
and find a fat guy with
his own personal one-of-a-kind
gravity.
Guadalupe M.
My happy place is heaven
I heard birds tweeting
An ant on my hand
An ant walking
on my toys
it is fun to watch
and so funny.
Then I see my mom
and we play ball.
Then we say bye
and I go home
and see my dad
and my new mom.
Tyler G.
I have
a crumb
inside
the crumb
is a taste
of a delicious
cookie taste
Jocelyn G.
On the inside, wrapped up in a bow just for you,
there is a you my dear. I love you
piece of dirt just the way you are,
with a worm.
The quietest place
is a closet
and an echo.
You can turn
on the light
if you look
up and maybe
you can see
heaven. A bird
flying down
with flowers
wrapped up in a
bow just for
you my dear.
I love you
because you just the way you are
the most beautiful thing in the world.
4th Grade Room 306

In a quiet place
I hear a strange
sound a duck and
a elephant were
kissing in front
of the library
and then they stopped
and went to buy
ice cream and
the elephant
squished the duck
and then the duck
slapped the elephant
and the duck went
home without seeing
the elephant for
years.
Jesus L.
One time I found
a penny I opened
the penny it had
a key inside it
I used the key
it let me in
a closet it was
so quiet
until
I heard a squirrel
4th Grade Room 002
Tanisha J.
I was in the tree house listening to
birds singing and air planes going past
and a doll shoe walked past and it
magically opened and a doll feet came
out and boy wasn't I scared.
Diana B.
I'm in a quiet
place that place
is a dark room
all I felt was
wind. There
was sand in that
sand I found
gold! The gold
was small. It was
so small I couldn't
see it. It wasyellow
like a banana.
Monique A.
I am in the
doctor's it is so
quiet I hear phones
ringing. Behind a couch
in the doctor's is a piece of a
earring I open it
up and it's dust
it is so cool
but I cough a lot.

This is just to say
I have taken
your money
that was in
your room
and which you
were probably
saving it for
something
forgive me,
I spent it
but I will
pay you back
Mario O.
I have eaten your
popcorn that was
on the couch
and which
you were probably
saving
for the movie
Forgive me
it was so salty
so crunchy
and so delicious
Oscar H,
I'm sorry mom
I'm so sorry
for eating my
candy before lunch

But I say
it is delicious
candy
I'm sorry mom.
Please don't ground
me. I will
do you chores
and I won't
look at my

any more
I will do
my homework
by myself.

Yesenia M.
I've stolen a
ruler from 3rd grade
We probably needed
it for class
so I said
"I'm sorry" to
Rene
Because I needed
it for class
because I don’t
have one.
Mike A.
I have blown
up your home
then drove your
car in a
store
and which I
should of done
because your home
was stinky and
your car was
a Chevy.
Don't forgive me
because I don't like you it
felt good blowing
up your home
and driving your
car in a store.
